GN LIVE 6TH MAY

In light of the events unfolding in Ukraine, our May GN Live, featuring incredible bands including Nova, Bargestra, Some Voices and Stonegate Singers, will be dedicated to supporting Good Neighbours’ efforts on the ground in Ukraine and in Romania.

The Good Neighbours Emergency Response team is working closely with local partners to deliver vital humanitarian aid including food, free and secure transportation services for vulnerable women and children and psychosocial support.

Find out more about our relief efforts on the ground or make a donation.

GN LIVE APRIL 8TH

On April 8th, our wonderful York community got together once again to stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and support our emergency fundraising efforts.

The evening proved to be another roaring success. Our wonderful performers – the Stonegate Singers, Suzy Bradley and the one and only Yorky Pud Street Band, gave our audience a night to remember!

We are grateful for the generous donations of beer and wine from Brew York and Majestic Wine respectively, and we would like to thank everyone for their involvement and unfaltering support. We raised a total of £760 all of which will go to support our relief efforts on the ground in Ukraine.

GN LIVE MARCH 11TH WOMEN IN MUSIC

On Friday March 11th, we celebrated York International Women’s Week in style. Our beautiful Good Neighbours Garden opened its door to  locals and visitors alike who enjoyed an evening replete with female performers and songwriters in aid of our Girls can do everything campaign.

Needless to say, the evening was a success. Our performers, which included University of York soloist Laura Sutcliffe and two female choirs, namely, In Harmony and Track 29, delighted our audience with their powerful singing and sheer instrumental artistry.

The wine – generously donated by Pairings Bar – flowed and the singers sang and everybody had a good time.

All, while raising over £450 pounds to support girl’s education in Uganda and elsewhere by addressing period poverty and the practical and social challenges associated with it.
