COVID-19: Good Neighbours around the world

For around 30 years, Good Neighbours has worked to help those most in need. As an international humanitarian and development NGO, Good Neighbours International is scaling up its activity to help prevent further spread of the epidemic in 45 countries.

Global response

From providing protective gowns in China in February 2020, to installing hand washing stations in Nicaragua, Good Neighbours International have been helping workers in many communities spread awareness of COVID-19, specifically how to prevent it and what to do if one contracts it.

In Bangladesh, for example, we are helping to disinfect public transport in order to keep people safe when travelling. In Zambia we’re providing education on infection prevention for children and in Ghana hygiene kits and food parcels are being given to the most vulnerable.

South Korea launched a $1.8 million emergency response project to support vulnerable children and families, delivering meals and PPE.

We are working with health authorities, the United Nations (UN) and other humanitarian agencies to make sure no one is left behind.

People in already vulnerable communities are potentially facing the dire consequences of a lack of infrastructure such as access to adequate shelter, clean water and regular meals.

Good Neighbours is working around the clock to protect children and their families.

In the UK, we’re currently making connections with organisations working in our community. Our hope is that we can help our neighbours wherever we’re most needed.

You can donate to any of our international sister organisations here.

We’re in the process of registering with the Charity Commission so please choose any of the flags on the page except the UK’s.
